The Fibers Fund has been out and about this fall! Conference season gave us a stretch of great opportunities to connect with partners and friends, share our work with new audiences, and promote our inspiring portfolio companies. We’re proud to be part of a growing community of impact-first funds leading the transition to a more just economy and to see the fibers sector gaining recognition across new intersections.
Thanks to our partners at Impact Charitable, we also have a streamlined new way you can support our work!

Conference highlights:
At Climate Week in NYC, our work and partners were featured in the first-ever Regenerative Textiles Forum, organized by Why Regenerative. Managing Director Sarah Kelley moderated a panel on flexible capital for fiber entrepreneurs featuring Cara Marie Piazza from our portfolio company Botanical Colors, Carmen Gama from EILEEN FISHER, and Graham Tabor from Thom Browne. Thanks to our panelists and the Why Regenerative team for spotlighting regenerative fibers as part of climate action! We also made new connections thanks to our supportive PRI partner Nathan Cummings Foundation, gathered with friends and colleagues brought together by FORA, and visited portfolio company Cindy Castro New York at their NYC studio.
We kicked off October in Minneapolis at the Regenerative Food Systems Investment Forum, where we connected in person with our portfolio company Range Revolution and partners from SAFSF, Proofing Station, Collective Action for Just Finance (CAJF), FS6, and more!
Next stop, California, where Advisory Council members Rebecca Burgess and Teju Adisa-Farrar and Sarah met many new partners thanks to our longstanding supporters at 11th Hour Project. We explored intersections between petrochemicals, plastics, toxics, and textiles that expanded our thinking and networks for the work ahead.
Last, we made our way to SOCAP in San Francisco. Sarah and Charity May from our Investment Committee kicked off the week at a gathering of fellow Transformative 25 Funds organized by CAJF, grounding us in trusted partnerships. We’re proud to support CAJF’s “We Say Restorative Returns” campaign, which works to re-examine the language of finance. The Fibers Fund was selected for the Inclusive Capital Exchange, a fantastic opportunity for impact funds to meet with interested investors. Sarah joined fellow Just Economy Institute alums at a joyful celebration of the growing JEI network, and we caught up with our valued partners from ImpactAlpha, Terra Regenerative Capital, and JEI fellow initiatives like Ownership Capital Lab, Turtle Island Community Capital, Kinflow, and more.
We’re back home a bit road-weary but excited for new opportunities and partnerships for the year ahead!

We put individual donations and DAF funds right to work in our hybrid model to support fiber businesses with TA grants, and we also use grant funds to offset operating costs so we can keep our interest rates low for borrowers. Impact Charitable enables our donation pathway as a philanthropic capital intermediary that serves as a bridge between funders and communities, designing responsive pathways that unlock and accelerate capital to ventures, projects, and funds.
The Fibers Fund also continues to welcome inquiries from accredited investors, PRI funders, and family offices to participate in our notes offering. Thank you to our anchor investors!
All donations also help us meet our matching challenge from Nathan Cummings Foundation, unlocking more support for underserved fiber entrepreneurs.
